Hello Reader, Heya Fit Travel Tribe! For today's Monday Momentum, let's talk about going S-O-L-O! Above-the-fold musings inspired by wanting to give a BIG shoutout to my mom for tackling her first solo multi-day hike! π Let's talk solo travels (whether it be hopping on an airplane, venturing out on a trail, or even dining alone in another country). Itβs been a while since I took my first solo trip to Portugal in 2018 (just for 5 days between two group tours), and I remember how nerve-wracking it wasβespecially the thought of navigating public transit on my own in a foreign country (the most stressful part, am I right??) But now? It feels so natural to just show up and take it all in. Do I make mistakes, still? Absolutely. They still kinda suck, but when you're forced to figure it out yourself, that resilience stays with you for next time. The truth is, that confidence didnβt happen overnight. I had to build it step by step. And once you do? Itβs a game changer. Itβs all about shifting to that mindset of βYes, I can.β If you donβt have that confidence yet, donβt worryβyouβll get there. (Just like exercising and building muscles...no one can do it for you. You have to earn it all on your own). And once you do, the world opens up in ways you never imagined. ππͺ β What do you really want to do, but are nervous to do alone? β Was it a performance or a workout? How about BOTH!! β I took the stage yesterday in Sofia for another big Les Mills fitness event! It will always be a highlight because of the team teaching, matching outfits, and how it makes me feel famous being on a stage (which was shaking and shifting on those burpees - yikes haha) β β β It's my final week in Sofia and then up next...
β Then end of June brings more travel and adventure...but that's for a later time to disclose... β πNew Blog Post Alert: β β β If you've ever heard people say you can travel full time and pay LESS than you would staying at home....check the post for some of the math. Rent vs. house sitting membership. Which one costs more for 1 year? β β I talked about credit card points in the last newsletter ->> CLICK HERE to re-readβ Still on the fence? β You can fly one-way to Europe easily (just consider round-trip double the points). β Want some more examples of how far points go and their monetary value? ππ β β Want to play around and fantasize about a future trip? π΄ β REMEMBER: If you think cash back credit cards are still the better option, that's incorrect. Cash back gives you 1β2 cents for every dollar you spend, but with points, that same dollar can get you 5β10 cents (or more) in travelβso youβre getting way more value for the same spending.
π Caucasus Mountains β ever heard of them?β Why trek there?
Bonus: Georgia's got it all:

Need extra baggage while flying a budget airline? π β Pro tip: Try adding it at the last minute before check out β Budget airlines are great because you can fly with just a personal item (no carry on/cabin bag) and it's super cheap. I love it because it encourages me to travel lighter (I def wanna save money). If you DO need extra baggage, you'll typically add it when you first select your seat, right? β β β Guess what...I saved 10 euros that way! Isn't that wild? It's the same baggage!! β Airlines are just exploiting human psychology. Since the carry on bag isn't typically "extra" for non-budget airlines, most people select to add it upfront. β Do yourself a favor, and always play around with the different arrangements of options. You'll never know what you could find and it COULD save you some money! β Always on my mind: More money for more travel! It's often worth a little homework for those savings πΈ If you've found this content helpful, please consider sharing this email with a friend & using these affiliate links in the future.
